Corae Young serves as President and CEO. She has a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management and Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Marketing. Much of her nonprofit experience has been working at LifeStyles, a nonprofit in Southern Maryland who focuses on human and social services activities. Corae has also assisted faith-based and nonprofits entities along the East Coast in establishing their 501(c)(3) incorporation status, grant writing, and developing programs, policies and partnerships that meet the greater needs of the community. She has been a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer for seven years. In 2021 she became a Certified Church Consultant through Church Consultation University, featuring Thom Rainer (https://churchanswers.com/find/church-consultant/).
In an ever-changing world and demographics, now, more than ever, nonprofit and faith-based communities fill a vital role in serving the needs of the community. Whether operating as a 501(c) organization or faith-based entity, it is important to help build the capacity of these entities to effectively operate and serve their targeted needs. These organizations and their teams need a safe space to share challenges and opportunities, where support and resources are provided.
Young Consulting Services’ (YCS) purpose is to provide training, technical assistance, and interactive opportunities to support faith-based and nonprofit entities. The staff of YCS have been working in the nonprofit and faith-based field for almost 20 years. YCS has extensive experience in grant writing, partnership development, and program development and implementation.
